Breaking: Tribunal nullifies Bayelsa’s Governorship election, orders fresh poll

The Bayelsa Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on has nullified the election of Governor Duoye Diri and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
Justice Mohammed Sirajo who led the three-man panel held that the election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was unlawful due to the exclusion of the Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party (ANDP) and its candidate, King George, from the November 16, 2019 governorship election.
The tribunal ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct a bye-election within 90 days.
