FRESH: Nigeria’s chief of army staff killed in plane crash

KADUNA – The Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru alongside some other officers has been killed in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday.

According to Peoples Gazette, the information was obtained from military sources.

Mr Attahiru, aged 54 was appointed chief of army staff on January 26 by president Muhammadu Buhari, succeeding Tukur Buratai.

Mr Attahiru was killed alongside other military chiefs who were on the same flight, sources said. The presidency has already been briefed about the development.
