Debo Adedayo, the popular skit maker who is also known as Mr Macaroni has rejected the invitation to a peace walk by Lagos governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Mr Adebayo announced his rejection to the invitation of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s invitation to a peace walk via his Twitter handle on Tuesday.

“I humbly decline the Invitation of Mr Governor. The Government themselves set up a panel. The panel has made recommendations.

“I believe that genuine peacemaking will begin by first implementing the recommendations of the panel. Then we can begin to trust the government,” he said.

He further tweeted, “finally, I’m not at war with anyone. Not with the Government, police or politicians. All we are asking is that our leaders place value on our lives as citizens and lead us with love, fairness, truth snd justice, to enable all Nigerians to live a better life in peace and unity.”

Mr Sanwo-Olu addressed the state on Tuesday regarding the judicial panel of enquiry and the release of the white paper he had promised more than two weeks ago.

During his address, the governor invited Mr Macaroni, Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, Seun Kuti, Dele Farotimi amongst others to “a walk of peace” sometime next month.
