BREAKING: Peter Obi defeats Tinubu, wins Lagos

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the presidential election, has won in Lagos state.

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the presidential election, has won in Lagos state.

The former Anambra governor defeats Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his stronghold.

This development was made known on Monday after the votes from all the twenty local government areas (LGAs) in the state were sorted and calculated.

Mr Obi of LP pulled 582, 354 while Mr Tinubu of the APC scored 572, 606.

Others include NNPP: 8442; PDP: 75 750 and SDP: 772.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the accredited voters were 1,347152.

The total valid votes were 1,271,451 with rejected votes of 64278.
