Rano Air begins commercial flights

Rano Air Limited, a member of the A. A Rano Group, says it has commenced full commercial operations in the country.

The company has recently secured an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

Shortly after its inauguration on Sunday by the governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, Rano Air made its first landing at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal in Ikeja, Lagos.

The airline also announced the company is the only airline operator operating Kano–Maiduguri route.

“We are also delighted to notify the flying public that #RanoAir covers Kano/Maiduguri route. (Kano to Maiduguri and Maiduguri to Kano).  #RanoAir is presently the only Airline covering this route”, the company said.
