President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently having a closed-door meeting with the new service chiefs.
Recall that in June, Tinubu sacked the service chiefs he met in the office and appointed new ones who are awaiting the confirmation of the National Assembly.
Daily Post reports that the meeting which began a few minutes ago at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday, has in attendance the chief of defence staff (CDS), Major-General C.G Musa; chief of army staff (CoAS), Major-General T. A Lagbaja; chief of air staff, AVM H.B Abubakar; chief of Naval Staff (CoNS), Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla; and acting Inspector-General of Police, DIG Kayode Egbetokun.
Tinubu had also appointed a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and a retired assistant inspector general of police (AIG), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, as the National Security Adviser (NSA), replacing Babagana Monguno.
The ongoing meeting marks the first time the President will be meeting the new service chiefs.
