Chidi Amadi, Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Minister of FCT, Nysom Wike, disclosed in Abuja on Thursday.

The strike, which has lasted for over 90 days, has led stakeholders to call on Wike to intervene and end the strike.

Last week, Martins Vincent Otse, led pupils and some teachers to the headquarters of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration to intervene.

Also, PROMAD, a leading nonprofit organization joined the campaign asking the minister to put an end to the three-month industrial action.

According to PROMAD, the strike was a violation of the Universal Basic Education Act (UBE) 2007, which may lead to many pupils not returning to school if the strike continues.

The organization added that such may worsen the over 18 million out-of-school children in the country.
