JUST IN: EFCC arrests Kwara State former Governor

KWARA – Report says the immediate past governor of Kwara State, Abdulfattah Ahmed has been arrested and interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on Monday.

Ahmed was arrested because of the connection with how funds to the tune of about N9 billion were allegedly diverted from the coffers of the Kwara State government.

Sources said that he has  been in interrogation for over seven hours after he came in on invitation to the EFCC headquarters at around 10 AM Monday morning.
