2023: Osinbajo, not my son, says Tinubu after VP joins presidential race

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a presidential hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is not his political son.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a presidential hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is not his political son.

Mr Tinubu said this in Abuja after meeting some governors elected on the platform of APC on Monday.

The former Lagos governor who was answering questions from journalists after the meeting said he expect to be encouraged by the leaders of the party in order to realise his presidential ambition and vision.

When asked about the declaration of his political godson, Yemi Osinbajo, he said “I have no son who’s grown enough to declare.”

“My mission here is to seek collaboration, support, and encouragement of my party, the APC, for my ambition to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a replacement for President Muhammadu Buhari after his tenure,” he added.
