Military Report: 244 insurgents arrested, 122 kidnapped victims rescued, others

The Defence Headquarters of the Nigeria military said successes have been recorded by the Armed Forces in tackling kidnapping, insurgency and other security challenges in the country.

The Defence Headquarters of the Nigeria military said successes have been recorded by the Armed Forces in tackling kidnapping, insurgency and other security challenges in the country.

The military said 244 insurgents were arrested, 122 kidnapped victims were rescued and 286 terrorist attacks were neutralised as of 22 February 2024

This was contained in the report released by the Defence Headquarters in its ongoing military operations.

According to the report, 234 terrorists and families surrendered, 8,530 ammunition and 18,539 barrels of oil and N4,876,950 were recovered.

The government has been battling insurgency, violent extremism, kidnapping and security threats amongst regions of the country.
