Confirm The New Service Chiefs, Buhari Writes Senate

ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari asked the Nigerian Senate to confirm the appointment of the service chiefs.

Recall that on Tuesday, the presidency announced the appointment of new service chiefs. Lucky Irabor was appointed as the Chief of Defense Staff; Ibrahim Attahiru as Chief of Army Staff; Auwal Gambo as Chief of Naval Staff, and Isyaka Amao as Chief of Air Staff respectively.

In a statement on Friday morning by Babajide Omoworare, a Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly matters, Buhari asked the Senate to confirm the appointment of the service chief nominees in a letter dated 27th January 2020.
