FG lends support to Niger Delta youths

The federal government will prioritize strengthening all available channels towards providing enabling environment and empowerment for the youths in the Niger Delta region including skills acquisition so as to make the youths viable and contribute to the nation’s economy.

The Interim administrator , presidential amnesty program retired colonel Dixon Dikio made this Known during the graduation ceremony of students at the BRADAMA international skills work limited in Ondo state.

Bradama International in partnership with Federal Government Amnesty Program trains youths from the Niger Delta region in vocational and entreprenural skills.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony , the interim administrator of the amnesty program, Retired Colonel Dikkio gave an assurance that youths in the Niger delta would get more engaged in other productive ways to fast track development in the area.

In a statement, the Managing director Bradama skills works company , high chief Bibopere Ajube said that the graduands had been discouraged from taking to social vices and other forms of militancy including vandalizing pipeline

Chief Ajube who listed courses at the institute to include industrial painting, welding and fabrication, scaffolding among others thanked president Muhammadu Buhari for supporting the amnesty program to make the youths become more productive.

The Agadagba of Arogbo kingdom pere Zacchaeus Egbunu appealed for start loans for the students so they could be self-reliant.
Members of the house of representatives representing Ilaje Ese Odo Federal Constituency Mr. Kolade Akinjo, Royal fathers, security personnel among others were present at the event.

Highpoint of the occasion was the presentations of Certificates and special recognition to deserving students.

Two of the students Irobo Ogaga and Gift Ajube could not hide their joy, they appreciated the Federal Government and Bradama for investing in them and promised to impact their society.
