The co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda has announced their plans to divorce after 27 years of marriage.
The couple made the announcement on Monday in a joint statement.
The statement said “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” a statement from the billionaire philanthropist couple, tweeted from both of their personal Twitter accounts.
“We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”
Bill Gates who is worth an estimated $130 billion has worked across the World through their foundation supporting governments of nations to build a healthy world for the people.
