Last week, Ayodele Olawande, minister of state for youth development, announced the launch of a helpdesk for Nigerian youth to escalate and resolve issues between young people and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The mission of the platform is to give Nigerian youths the platform to report any violation of their rights.

“As promised, my office, in collaboration with the Nigerian Police has successfully initiated the Nigerian Youth helpdesk as a measure to receive, process, and escalate concerns from Nigerian Youths, and also improve the relationship between them and the Police,” he wrote on X during the launch.

“My office will work with stakeholders in all 36 states, including the FCT, to ensure the help desk is effective and efficient across the country.

“All youth, especially those who will be utilizing the platform, are, however, advised to engage responsibly and to report only concerns that are credible and worthy of attention.
