LAGOS –Jamaican Singer, songwriter, and percussionist, Neville O’Riley living stone professionally known as Bunny wailer, has died at the age of 73.
The Reggae legend died on Tuesday in Kingston.
He was an original member of the reggae group, The Wailers along with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. he is considered one of the longtime standard-bearers of reggae music.
He was awarded Jamaica’s order of merit.
According to Report, the Jamaican Government said,
No cause of death was given but the culture ministry said Wailer’s real name was Neville Livingstone — had been hospitalized since December.
In a statement Olivia Grange the Culture Minister said “We remain grateful for the role that Bunny Wailer played in the development and popularity of Reggae music across the world,”
“We remember with great pride how Bunny, Bob Marley, and Peter Tosh, took Reggae music to the four corners of the earth,” She added.
