AKURE – The Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, and member representing Akure South Constituency I at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Simeon Toluwani Borokini has commended the kind gesture of the state Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu in the state’s Education by paying the School Certificate Examination Fees (WAEC) fees for students in public schools in the state.
In a signed statement by Specia Assistant on Media & Communications to the lawmaker, Ayobamiji Komolafe said The intervention was timely and thoughtful and will help ease the financial burden on parents and also boost the morale of the benefitting students towards education.
The lawmaker implored the Principals to take immediate steps in refunding the registration fees collected so far to the parents/wards of the affected students as directed by the Governor.
Also, he encouraged the students to make judicious use of this opportunity and ensure the state ranks amongst the best when results will be released as this will be the best compensation for the governor’s warm gesture.
