ADO-EKITI – Ekiti State Government is set to hold a virtual town hall meeting on the development of a roadmap for sustainable forest management in Ekiti state.
According to the announcement from the official verified handle of the State government @ekitistategov said: “The event is being organized by the Ekiti State Forestry Commission in collaboration with New Initiative For Social Development (NISD), and Environmental Investigation Agency, will hold a Virtual Townhall Meeting on the Development of a Roadmap for Sustainable Forests Management in Ekiti State with the theme: ‘The Forests We Want”.
The statement said, the Hon. Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Barr. Princess Iyabo Fakunle-Okhiemen will deliver a keynote address on the theme as the presentation on forestry roadmap will be delivered by the project consultant, Mr. Michael Osakuade.
Other speakers include The Executive Secretary, Forestry Commission, Mr Felix Akinluyi; Technical Advisor, Forest Management and Climate Change; EIA Representative, Ms. Kidan Araya; Senior Special Assistant, Environment, Dr. Akinyemi Akinyuga; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Mr. Tokunbo Alokan; while the event is to be facilitated by the Programme Officer, Mr Olaogun Michael.
