AKURE – Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State says the idea where the federal government is the only one dictating almost everything has to be attended to through constitutional provisions.

He said “We can’t continue like this. The practice of where the federal government is the one dictating everything has to stop”.

“I agree with the deputy speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly who said the 1963 constitution is the best constitutional document the country has ever produced”.

“Let’s go back to where sub-government take over what is in their domains and pay royalty to the federal government”.

“Cocoa house, the then tallest building in Africa. The first stadium started here. The first television station started here. Let each state work on their comparative advantages to grow”.

“Every state has it’s own character, let’s embrace it”.

“The decision we had taken at the southern governors’ meeting at Asaba remains irreversible. We will pursue it without going back”.
