Bye-election: Mimiko, Obaseki, Makinde to lead campaign for Adu, PDP candidate in Ondo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a twenty-six man committee to lead the party’s campaign for Akure North/Akure South federal constituency bye-election scheduled for February 26 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a twenty-six man committee to lead the party’s campaign for Akure North/Akure South federal constituency bye-election scheduled for February 26 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

A statement by PDP’s national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba said the National Working Committee (NWC) has approved the twenty-six man committee for the bye-election.

“The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the nomination of the following party members as members of the National Campaign Council/Election Management Team for the Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency Bye-election scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Ondo State.”

According to him, the member of the committees includes Mr Godwin Obaseki as the chairman and Engr. Seyi Makinde as the co. chair.

The members includes Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; Eyitayo Jegede (SAN); Debo Ologunagba; Omolade Oluwateru; Alhaja Mutitat Ladoja; Sen. Biodun Olujimi; Sen. Fadahunsi Francis Adenigba and Sen. Akinyelure Patrick Ayo.

Others include Sen. Tofowomo Nicholas; Sen. Balogun Kola Ademola; Abdel Majid Segun Adekola; Tajudeen Obasa; Akinjo Kolade Victor; Ikengboju Gboluga Dele; Clement Faboyede; Festus Akingbaso; Rasheed Elegbeley; Omolase Lanre and Sikirulai Ogundele.

Fatai Adams; Sunday Bisi; Dayo Ogungbenro; Engr. Julius Akinsola; and Adesoji Adagunodo as the secretary.

Mr Ologunagba added that the Directorate of Organization and Mobilization has been designated as the Secretariat for the Council.
