Charles Soludo has been sworn in as the governor of Anambra State.
Mr Soludo, a former central bank governor is known for his aggressive policies that reshaped Nigeria’s banking sector during his time.
In his inaugural speech, the new Anambra governor promised accountability in the use of the State’s resources.
“I commit to accountable and judicious use of your taxes”- Charles Soludo, Anambra State Governor, continues his inaugural address as he promises to protect the financial and economic interests of the people of Anambra State,” he said.
He is from Aguata local government area of the state, with its headquarters in Aguata, a major part of which falls into the major commercial town of Ekwulobia, while the smallest part falls within Aguluezechukwu.
Mr Soludo, 61, is a professor of economics.
As governor-elect, he promised that all his official vehicles would be Innoson Vehicles.
He arrived at the swearing-in ceremony with his Innoson vehicles.
