The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has cleared to 7,854 delegates to vote in its national convention.
The convention is to elect national officers of the party.
APC made the disclosure in a tweet on Saturday.
“7,584 delegates decide our NWC today” the tweet reads.
The party has not had a substantive NWC since June 2020 when the one led by Adams Oshiomhole, former national chairman, was sacked by the party’s national executive committee (NEC) and appointed governor of Yobe State, Mala Buni as the caretaker chairman of the party.
Over the last twelve months, the party has been embroiled in a leadership crisis at the time.
According to the programme of the event released by the party, the event is expected to commence at 3:30 pm.
