POS operators release unified price list for withdrawals, deposits in Lagos

The Lagos state chapter of the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents has released a unified price list for Point of Sales (PoS) transactions.

The Lagos state chapter of the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents has released a unified price list for Point of Sales (PoS) transactions. 

Stephen Adeoye, the chapter’s public relations officer disclosed this on Friday at a news conference in Lagos.

For Withdrawals

He listed the amount of cash withdrawals and charges to be attracted as follows:

N1,000 to N2,400 will attract N100; N3,000 to N4,000 will attract N200; N4,100 to N6,400 will attract N300; N6,500 to N7,900 is N400; N8,000 to N10,900 is N500; and N11,000 to N14,000 is N600.

Others include N14,500 to N17,900 will attract N700, and N18,000 to N20,000 will attract N800.

For Deposits or transfers

N1,000 to N4,900 will attract N100; N5,000 to N10,900 is N200; N11,000 to N20,900 is N300; N21,000 to N30,900 is N400; N31,000 to N40,000 is N500 and N41,000 to N50,000 will attract N600 as charges.

Adeoye said depending on the location, the prices can be stepped down for customers but cannot go above the stated prices “because we are humans”.

Adeoye added that the cost of fuel, data and maintenance for the operations had gone up.

He also said the association is ready to sanitise the market against money laundering in support of government policies and laws on anti-money laundering.
