Leaders of organised labour and Femi Falana, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), on Thursday, accompanied Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), to the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

NPF had invited the NLC president for questioning over a case of alleged criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion and cybercrime in the country.

The police asked Ajaero to appear before the force’s intelligence response team (IRT) on August 20 at its headquarters.

But the NLC president declined the invitation, asking the police to provide the details of the allegations levelled against him.

However, a week later, Ajaero honoured the invitation of the police alongside other labour leaders and Deji Adeyanju, an activist.
