David Abioye has launched a new church seven months after he retired from the Living Faith Church.

Abioye, until his retirement, was the Vice President of the Living Faith Church, also known as ‘Winners Chapel’

According to him, the new church will commence Sunday services on May 4, 2025.

In October 2024, Abioye, alongside Thomas Aremu, retired from Winners Chapel, having attained the age of 60 years.

During the period, Abioye was 63 while Aremu was 67.

Their retirement followed a review of the Living Faith Church’s administrative policy, which set new leadership structures and a mandatory retirement age for its leaders at 55, except the founder.

Abioye, after his retirement, commenced a non-denominational ministry, hosting worshippers on Sunday evening..

On April 27, after the end of an evening fellowship, Abioye said his ministry will now hold services on Sunday mornings — specifically from 8am.

“Very important information. From next Sunday, by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8 am. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name,” Abioye said.

He noted that his ministry was a product of a divine mandate and not personal ambition and urged members to pursue personal revival, which he said was the foundation for corporate renewal.
