Rachael Olokungboye

ONDO – No fewer than 22 cows were found dead yesterday in Akungba, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to Report, The incident happened around 8pm at the residence of the owner along A.U.D Secondary school.

According to some sources around, when the owner, Ibrahim Saliu, fondly called Baba Saliu discovered the simultaneous death of his cows, he raised an alarm that caused panic in the university community.

A reliable source who preffered not to be mentioned said the cows was poisoned by some unknown persons who detest Ibrahim Saliu over his magnanimity to customers.

While reacting, the paramount ruler of the community, the Alale of Akungba, Oba Sunday Adeyeye, Ajimo III, disclosed that assiduous efforts were on to unravel the cause.

Oba. Adeyeye further stated that he had earlier instructed the concerned person not to sale the dead cows, adding that it was deleterious to the health of residents declaring that any meat-merchant caught selling part of the cows would be prosecuted.

Effort to reach out to Saliu over the cause of the mysterious death proved abortive.
