OGUN – Report says the Ogun State Government has started screening the 21,000 successful applicants for the Ogun State Teaching Experience Acquisition Channel (Ogun TEACh) recruitment.
According to the Ogun State Government, 21,000 applicants jostles for the available 5,000 slots for teachers in the State. The State Government said it plans to employ 5,000 teachers who will work for the period of two years.
The Government had earlier organised a recruitment exercise for 1,500 teachers in 2019 but abandoned the process after testing and shortlisting candidates for interviews due to the COVID-19 outbreak that forced the closure of many schools.
Speaking on the screening, he said: “This is the first based test. It allows candidates to sit for the Computer Based Test (CBT) after which those that successfully scale through will go through the second stage which is the oral interview.
“After the oral interview, we will pick the successful candidates that will be fit to teach in our schools.”
