BREAKING: Professor Ben Ayade, Governor of Cross River State joins APC

Damilola Adeyemo

CROSS RIVERS – Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has announced his defection to the All People’s Progressive Congress (APC).

Report says Ayade, who was elected on the platform of the PDP in 2015, disclosed that the need to connect the state to the government at the centre informed his decision to join APC.

Some of the APC Governors in attendance are those of Kebbi, Yobe, Ebonyi, Imo and Nasarawa.

Ayade has been having running battle with the PDP in the state over the control of the party’s structures, which he does not have a hold on.

The governor has also not been participating in recent events of the PDP governors, preferring to delegate his deputy instead.
