Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a presidential hopeful has written to the leadership of the national assembly seeking to meet lawmakers elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Tinubu’s letter was read on the floor of the lower chamber on Wednesday by the speaker of the house of representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The former Lagos state governor indicated his interest to meet with all lawmakers of the lower chamber elected on the platform of his party, the letter reads.

Mr Gbajabiamila announced March 16, 2022, as the date fixed for the august meeting.

It is clear that Mr Tinubu would be meeting the lawmakers in respect of his presidential ambition and to seek their support.

In the last few weeks, he has been going around the country to meet several interest groups, marketing his ambition to become the president of Nigeria in 2023.
