A federal high court sitting in Damaturu, Yobe state capital, has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to list the name of Bashir Sheriff Machina as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Yobe North senatorial district.
The court declared Mr Machina as the authentic candidate of the APC for Yobe North for the 2023 general election.
Justice Fadima Aminu gave the verdict on Wednesday in Damaturu.
He said Mr Machina was duly and validly elected during the May 28 APC senatorial primary election as the candidate of the party.
