The presidential election petition tribunal (PEPT), says it will deliver its judgement on Wednesday, September 6 in the petitions filed by the PDP and Atiku Abubakar and that of the Labour Party and Peter Obi.
AIT reports that the notice of the judgment was communicated by the secretary of PEPT on Monday.
Both Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar are challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential polls that produced the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) Bola Tinubu as President.
The two opposition parties’ candidates are asking the court to withdraw Tinubu’s victory on the grounds that the election was without corrupt practices, saying the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) also flouted the Electoral Act 2022 in the conduct of the election.
They also maintained that Tinubu was not qualified to contest.
The court will also give judgment in the petition of the Allied People’s Movement APM
