Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta state, has signed nine new bills passed by the state house of assembly into law.
Okowa disclosed in a tweet that he assented to the bills on Monday.
“Yesterday, I signed nine Bills transmitted by the Delta State House of Assembly into law”, he said.
The bills include the Supplementary Appropriation Act, 2023; the Delta State Development and Property Authority Bill, 2022; the Delta State Good Governance and Accountability Bill, 2022; and the Delta State Sickle Cell Disorder Control Bill, 2023.
Others include the High Court (Amendment) Bill, 2023; the Delta State Thanksgiving Day Bill, 2023; the Delta State Creative Industry Development Bill, 2023; the Delta State Polytechnic Burutu Bill, 2023; and the College of Health Science and Technology Bill.
