Ondo Assembly screens deputy governor nominee Adelami today

Olamide Oladiji, speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, has confirmed that the House has received the name of the deputy governor nominee forwarded by the governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

Olamide Oladiji, speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, has confirmed that the House has received the name of the deputy governor nominee forwarded by the governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

On Wednesday, Aiyedatiwa released the name of Dr.Olayide Owolabi Adelami to fill the vacant deputy governor’s seat in the State.

The House confirmed this in a press release yesterday by the assembly’s chairman on information, Olatunji Oshati.

Receiving the letter in his office, Oladiji said that the governor’s action is in line with Section 191(3)b&c of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.

According to the Speaker, Dr Adelami who hails from Owo in Owo Local Government Area of the State is expected to appear before the House on 25th January 2024 for screening.
