Uganda Polls: Provisional Results As Announced by Electoral Commission- Uganda

AFRICA – According to Uganda’s leading TV station, NTV News, we obtained the provisional presidential election results as announced by Uganda’s Electoral Commission at Saturday noon.

Yoweri Museveni, the sitting president who is also a candidate in the election was leading with total votes of 5, 562, 141 which represent 58.89% of the total votes announced so far.

Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine), the main opposition candidate has garnered a total of 3, 263, 309 which represent 34.55% of the total votes announced so far.

Patrick Amuriat 310, 753 votes which represents 3.29%, Mugisha Muntu 62, 152 votes which represents 0.66%, Norbert Mao 51, 669 votes which represents 0.55%, Henry Tumukunde 47, 397 votes which represents 0.50%, Joseph Kabuleta 42, 122 votes which represents 0.45%, Nancy Kalembe 35, 103 votes which represent 0.37%, John Katumba 34, 258 votes representing 0.36%, Fred Mwesigye 23, 346 representing 0.25% and Willy Myambala 12, 884 representing 0.14% of the total votes announced so far by the electoral umpire in Uganda.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission – Uganda has yet to publish any result on their verified Twitter handle @UgandaEC.

The Electoral Commission chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama says that he will declare the final results for the 2021 General Elections at 3 pm EAT. The final results have to be declared within 48 hours after the close of voting which is 4pm today.
