FRESH: Darkness looms as national grid collapse in Nigeria

ABUJA – The Transmission Commission of Nigeria has stated that there was a total system collapse of the national grid as a result of voltage collapse at around 11: 00 am on the 12th of May, 2021.

In a statement issued by the company, it narrated how the voltage collapse has affected some parts of the states from the generating station( Delta) to Benin transmission substation and has reached Osogbo and some parts of Lagos.

TCN appealed to Nigerians over the voltage collapse and promised to work on grid and power restoration as it’s gradually progressing as engineers has been mobilised.
