Ayo Akinyelure, senator representing Ondo central district says his bill for the upgrade Federal College of Agriculture to a Federal University of Agriculture has scaled second reading at the senate.
He said this in a statement issued on Friday by his special adviser on media and strategy, Charles Akinwon.

The Senator representing Ondo Central in the Red Chamber, Distinguished Senator Ayo Akinyelure, who is equally the Senate Committee Chairman on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, today on the floor of the Senate reads, for the second time, A Bill For An Act To Upgrade Federal College Of Agriculture, Akure to the Federal University of Agriculture Akure, to make comprehensive provision for due management and administration and other related matters.
Akinyelure said the Bill became imperative for the development of the institution, Ondo State, and Nigeria at large.
Akinyelure, who values education and as a member of Senate Committee onTETFUND, said the institution, being the only Federal institution with an Agricultural setting said the Bill, when scaled through, will be an added value to the indigenes of Ondo State in particular, who are mostly Nigerians.
It would be recalled that Akinyelure had made a similar representation for the Federal University of Technology, Akure, located in his Constituency of Ondo Central.
