Amotekun arrests three suspected kidnappers in Ondo

Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, has arrested three suspected kidnappers operating along Owo /Ose area of the state.
The three suspects were arrested after invading a popular saw-mill and abducting a businessman, Mr. Kunle Agbayewa in Idoani, Ose Local Government, on Wednesday.
This abduction took place in Mr. Agbayewa’s office in the saw-mill barely twenty- four hours after the Chief Medical Director of the General Hospital, Idoani, Dr. Olufemi Adeogun, and two other health workers were abducted along this same route.
Technocrat Media gathered that Men of Amotekun rush to the scene immediately they got wind of the matter and arrested the suspects and rescued the victim before being hurt.
According to an eyewitness, Mrs. Comfort Ilesanmi, the suspected kidnappers were Fulani herdsmen.
She said, “the herdsmen entered the sawmill and kidnapped him immediately but people around quickly raised the alarm and the Amotekun personnel were invited to the scene”
The Commander of Amotekun Corps in Ondo State, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, who confirmed the incident, said the victim was immediately rescued by the men of Amotekun Corps after he was abducted by the three suspected kidnappers who were later caught and handed over to the Police for further investigation and prosecution.
Mr. Adeleye said that “Our men (Amotekun Corps) led the police and soldiers to rescue the victim this morning shortly after we heard the news of his kidnap.
“After foiling their kidnap plot, we arrested the three men before handing them over to the police. They have begun giving confessional statements.”
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Tee Leo lkoro confirmed the arrest of the suspects said six suspected kidnappers were arrested in the forest and that police personnel is searching the forest to rescue the CMD and the two other health workers who were abducted along the route on Monday.
