The management of Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, Ore has denied the allegation that toxic waste from its company, Wewood Limited Company had killed three forest operators at a forest reserve in Okitipupa Local Government Area in the State.
The Chairman of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, Mr. Alex Ajipe, stated this while addressing newsmen in Akure yesterday.
Mr. Ajipe said the allegation was distasteful and regretful, he went further to call on the Ondo State Police Command to investigate the matter and reveal the real cause of the forest operators’ death.
He said the allegations cannot be unconnected to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s opponents who wants to frustrate the good works of the Governor Akeredolu’s led administration in the industrial and the state at large.
Mr. Ajipe also said that it is shameful that some people could come up with false accusations in a desperate attempt to tarnish the good image of the company despite its positive impacts on the Nigerian economy.
