Popular Afrobeat Singer Fela Anikulapo Nominated for 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of fame

LAGOS – Popular Afrobeat Legend, late Afrobeat Fela Anikulapo Nominated for 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of fame Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti professionally known as Fela Anikulapo Kuti has been nominated for the 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The late musician was nominated alongside international artistes like JAY-Z, Dionne Warwick, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden and Carole King, and he could be inducted on his first-ever nomination.

In a statement, the chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, John Skyles, said “The remarkable ballot reflects the diversity and depth of the artists and music the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrates.

The winners of the 36th Annual Rock &Roll Hall of fame induction ceremony which wil take in Cleveland, ohio is set to be inducted in May 2021. Five nominees were voted for Daily from today til the 30th of April on the Rock Halls website.
