Follow The Projects gets support to track ‘constituency projects’ in Abuja, Ondo

A nonprofit program established by TECHNOCRAT MEDIA, FOLLOW THE PROJECTS has secured another round of support to track zonal intervention projects popularly known as ‘constituency projects’ in Ondo State and the FCT, Abuja.

ABUJA – A nonprofit program established by TECHNOCRAT MEDIA, FOLLOW THE PROJECTS has secured another round of support to track zonal intervention projects popularly known as ‘constituency projects’ in Ondo State and the FCT, Abuja.

A statement issued by its Chief Volunteer Officer, Daisi Omokungbe, said the organization secured another round of supports from HEDA Resource Centre, MacArthur Foundation, and partners to track constituency projects in the FCT, Abuja, and Ondo state for 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Mr. Omokungbe said, “In 2020, the support we got from HEDA Resource Centre and MacArthur Foundation that helped our organization tracked, engaged stakeholders, and reported abandoned projects by the Niger Delta Development Commission in Ondo state”.

“This has opened our eyes to a lot of works that need to be done in tracking and reporting corruption in public projects in Nigeria”.

“We are excited to secure another round of support from our partners this time around to investigate the implementation of constituency projects across the three senatorial districts in Ondo State and the FCT, Abuja”.

He said, Follow The Projects team would track projects provided for in the budgets of 2019 and 2020, engage community stakeholders and report its findings to strengthen anticorruption Programmes in Nigeria.

This is part of our contributions to ensuring project accountability, making public finance and budget allocations work for the people which is essential to building public infrastructures, meeting citizens’ aspirations, and delivering good governance, Mr. Omokungbe stated.
