The viral caption “If Senator Bola Tinubu could make Lagos the 5th richest economy in Africa and the safest State in Nigeria then be sure what he will do as Nigeria President –© Akinwumi Adesina – 11/01/2022” with his picture is FAKE.

TECHNOCRAT MEDIA’s analysis of the said viral quote shows its poor construction with no punctuation marks whatsoever which cannot be from the president of the AfDB.

Reacting to the development, Victor Oladokun, senior advisor on communication and stakeholder engagement to the president of the African Development Bank, Mr Akinwumi Adesina said the content is untrue, mischievous, and fraudulent.

“The captioned photograph and statement attributed to the president of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, endorsing a particular political candidate is untrue, mischievous, and fraudulent. Kindly ignore it – Dr Victor Oladokun, Jan 12, 2022.”, he said.

He made the disclosure in a tweet to counter the fake endorsement.
