African Democratic Congress governorship candidate, Tonte Ibraye, in Rivers State has nominated popular actress, Tonto Dikeh, as his running mate.
Tonto Dikeh made the disclosure of her nomination on Instagram on Friday.
She also shared their government’s plans if elected into office in Rivers during next year’s election.
Dikeh said the administration would invest massively in social protection and create social value for the youths.
“I thank Mr. Tonte Ibraye, the Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress Rivers State for nominating me as his running mate,” Dikeh wrote.
Amongst what’s in their manifesto to include, she listed “investing massively in social protection, creating a social value system for young people, increased women inclusion in our governance system.
Others are “supporting small businesses and strengthening our traditional institutions to be active players in the drive to bring sustainable development to the good people of Rivers State.”
Tonto Dikeh urged the people of the state, particularly the youth to register and get their Permanent Voter Card to ensure they vote during the election.
