Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, says former governor Rotimi Amaechi didn’t hand over any document to him in 2015.

Wike said the inauguration of his administration and take-off was tough in 2015, and added that the state had to borrow a motorcade from Olusegun Mimiko who was then the governor of Ondo state.

The governor spoke during the valedictory state executive council (SEC) meeting of his administration in Port Harcourt on Thursday broadcast live on Channels Television and monitored by TECHNOCRATMEDIA.

“In 2015, nothing was handed to us. Everything was looted, even the kitchen was looted We had to borrow a motorcade from Olusegun Mimiko, the governor of Ondo state for the inauguration”, he said.

“But today, the case is different. The governor-elect and deputy governor-elect have been part of this government. We are going to hand over the government to them successfully.

Wike added that all members of his cabinet can now go home without being stoned by their people, saying his government has done well for the people of the state.

“I am happy that everybody can go home and nobody will stone you. Nobody will say look at these criminals, they looted the resources of the state. Nobody can say that.

“No local government can complain—from Rivers east to west, and southeast, not one can complain”.

Wike told his cabinet members to thank God for the opportunity to be part of those who brought the state to the limelight.
