JUST IN: Court stops NLC, TUC from going on strike

An Abuja national industrial court has issued an order restraining the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) from going on strike.

Bayo Onanuga, director of media and publicity of Tinubu/Shettima campaign council disclosed the development in a tweet on Monday.

“Breaking: Federal High Court grants an interim order restraining the NLC and TUC  from going on strike from Wednesday as planned, until the determination of the motion on notice. 

“Justice O. Y. Anuwe issued the order today and adjourned further hearing till 19 June”, he said.

The labour unions had declared that workers would withdraw their services from Wednesday, June 7, until the federal government take the petrol price back to N194.
