No fewer than eight people were burnt beyond recognition, many others were hospitalised and some residents were rendered homeless following the inferno.

Commiserating with families of the victims and people of Odigbo, Aiyedatiwa described the incident as odd and horrific noting that the accident happened when no one expected it.

He said residents must think about their safety rather than taking records of an accident scene, saying they need to alert appropriate agencies answerable to such problems.

The acting governor noted that the state government has purchased eight firefighter vans that would be soon distributed to all strategic areas of the State.

Ayedatiwa added that the state government would reach out to those who lost their belongings and loved ones to the incident.

“When heard this sad news that souls have perished in this situation,it was a rude shock”

“Though we don’t pray for this. In any accident like this, I urge you residents not to go near not try to take the record, what you need to do is to call on the appropriate agency”.

“The state government has provided eight firefighter vans and I believe one would be at Ore as a populated entity in Ondo south.

“For those that lost their family members and properties in the incident, the State government is ready to reach out to them”. Ayedatiwa said.
