JUST IN: Tinubu withdraws Ondo’s former commissioner’s appointment, reinstates HYPREP project coordinator

President Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the appointment of former commissioner Femi Adekanmbi and approved the reinstatement of Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP).

President Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the appointment of former commissioner Femi Adekanmbi and approved the reinstatement of Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP).

Last week, Tinubu appointed Adekanmbi as the Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP).

In a new development of Monday, Ajuri Ngelale, spokesperson of the president said President Tinubu has decided to approve the reinstatement of Zabbey as the coordinator of HYPREP.

According to Ngelale. The president’s decision followed a performance review of the Zabbey as HYPREP Coordinator

“The President reached the decision following a performance review of the HYPREP Project Coordinator and concluded that the Project Coordinator is fit to discharge his functions in accordance with the regulations guiding the execution of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP).

“By the directive of the President, the reinstatement of the HYPREP Project,” Ngelale said in the statement.
