Abuja, Nigeria
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a new requirement for the mobilisation of polytechnic graduates in the country.
According to the scheme, graduates with a Higher National Diploma (HND) are now required to provide evidence of completion of their one-year industrial training (IT) in addition to National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates and statement of results.
The development was contained in an update published by NYSC on its official X handle.
In the Nigerian polytechnic system, evidence of completion of one year of industrial training is required for admission into HND programmes.
The government designs IT to enhance the acquisition of practical and practising knowledge and skills by polytechnic students in their fields of study.
