Abdul Ningi, Senator representing Bauchi Central, has resumed plenary after the leadership of the Senate lifted his suspension.

Ningi was seen arriving at the National Assembly complex on Tuesday.

Three months ago, he was suspended for accusing the national assembly of padding the 2024 budget by N3 trillion.

Abba Moro, the minority leader of the Senate, supported by Olalere Oyewumi, the senator representing Osun South, and Osita Ngwu, the senator representing Enugu West, sponsored the motion for his return to the Senate.

After appeals from other lawmakers, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate announced Ningi’s unconditional reinstatement.
