The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has warned electorates that will be participating in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State, of vote-buying during the poll. The agency was of the view that the electorates should let their votes count and not sell their conscience.
This was contained in a statement released by the Ondo State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mrs. Olawumi Famuyiwa, in Akure the state capital.
Mrs. Famuyiwa urged the people of Ondo State to shun any form of violence and election malpractices before, during, and after the election.
She also reminded the people about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and urged them to adhere strictly to all the precautionary measures while exercising their civil rights.
The agency reiterated that the use of nose masks and maintaining physical distancing at campaign rallies and during the election will also help curtail the further spread of the deadly virus.
