Aisha Yesufu, a Nigerian activist and chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), says the All Progressives Congress (APC) don’t own the court.
She said the popular saying that the ruling party controls the court is just an illusion that they want the majority of Nigerians to believe.
Yesufu on Twitter said “I’ve heard a lot of people saying you know they control the court so that we will be discouraged to collect back our mandate.
“You can’t get your mandate there, trying to give up.
“They do not control the courts. They want you to believe they control the court. So, it is an illusion”, she said.
The activist added that so many people believed no one can defeat Tinubu in Lagos, saying the president-elect could Lagos for long because many people believed he controls Lagos.
“It was an illusion at last”, Yesufu said.
She asked the members of the Obedient Movement to stay focused on the legal battle ahead.
She also added that it is time for Nigerians to put a searchlight on the judiciary not only on the executives and the legislature.
