A young lady nurse (name withheld) who is undergoing an internship with the Ondo State Hospital Management Board is begging the state government to pay their eight months’ salaries.

In a video posted by AkureEvents, the young nurse said “please, pay the 8 Months of unpaid salaries to our young interns”.

According to practice, the interns are part of our workforce and involve in the essential day-to-day official activities of the state-owned hospitals.

They are placed at different departments providing healthcare services to the people of the state.

According to her, the accrued unpaid eight months’ salaries have negatively impacted their finances and personal survival, owing to the present economic hardship in the country.

She threatened to commit suicide if the state government led by Rotimi AKeredolu refused to provide a solution to the issue, saying the 46 of them who are affected have no other means of income.
